The Update Monitor does not download any files but is, in effect, an extensionto the F-Prot Antivirus Updater, notifying the user when new virus signature files need to be downloaded.The virus signature files update status information is conspicuously displayed on the program's startup sothat users can see at a glance whether updates are needed. Users can then download the new virus signature files,either manually with the Updater or set the Scheduler to do so at regular intervals.
